Located within the Western corridor suburb of Acacia Ridge, this transport-oriented warehouse has been designed and constructed by the Spaceframe team with flexibility and sustainability in mind, setting a new standard for industrial buildings in the area.
The Peterkin Street project has been delivered with a 5 Star Green Star rating.
Several key sustainability features included in the project were:• Low potable water consumption: retention and re-use systems and use of high WELS rating products• Reduced energy consumption: efficient plant, equipment, lighting and green power agreements• Solar Panel installation• Reduced upfront carbon emissions: key design and engineering decisions plus use of supplementary cementitious materials• Improved office amenity: provision of high-performing glazing, acoustic assessment and detailed noise control provisions, provision of high levels of clean air and use of low-VOC construction products• Lower ongoing operating costs: provision of detailed building monitoring systems and ongoing metering plans
