Guide Dog Queensland Updates
The new Vet Clinic is now open at the Bald Hills breeding training centre. The clinic will enable Guide Dogs to provide all healthcare to their dogs on site, which will reduce health risks and cut external veterinary expenses by more than half. The savings will make it possible to train an additional 24 dogs over the next 5 years, giving more people with low or no vision the chance to be matched with a life-changing Guide Dog.
Did you know that 90% of funding for the Guide Dogs comes from fundraising and public donations?
Spaceframe Group raised $72,949 in the 2019 Bridge to Brisbane, $60,000 of these funds went directly to the purchase of a Dual Vet X Ray for the new clinic. The machine is so vital for the clinic and if you think about it, a few hours walking and running through Brisbane made this happen.
Guide Dogs QLD also gave Spaceframe the honour of naming a litter of new puppies and they are due very soon.
