We’ve come away with a win at the Master Builders Queensland Awards – Best Industrial Building over $5 Million for Bidfood Richlands.
2022 marks 15 years for the relationship between Bidfood Australia and Spaceframe Buildings.
Originally introduced via a third party, Spaceframe were approached to construct a facility for a tenant, then operating as Bidvest in 2007. Many years and many successful projects later, Spaceframe are proud to present the Bidfood’s Richlands facility. The Richlands Branch was another complete design and construct project with all electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fire and refrigeration services completed and managed in house by the Spaceframe team.
In collaboration with Scantec Refrigeration Technologies, this facility gained recognition and won awards for its centralised low-charge ammonia system in the Freezer, Chiller, Anteroom, Finishing and Produce spaces. Such inclusion provides long term energy performance benefits, reductions in power consumption with a return on investment within 3 years, providing a sustainable and balanced environmental refrigeration system.
Additional features to the facility include:
- Ambient Warehouse Section
- Utility Areas
- Truck Washing Bays
- Battery Charging Station
- Plant Room
- Dock Office with Expansive Roller Doors & Sunken Docks
- External Car Parking Area – Fully Concreted for Vehicle Access around the Buildings
- Complete Landscaping
