Rochedale, Brisbane – Construction has commenced on CHEP Australia’s new service centre within the Rochedale Motorway Estate for Goodman and joint venture partner, Brickworks.

HS & E Manager, Amelia Simony and Site Manager, Darrin Mitchell, joined members of the Goodman and CHEP project teams onsite for the official sod turning ceremony.

Located alongside the new Woolworths ‘Dark Store’ also constructed by Spaceframe, the purpose built facility will span over 16,870m² and has been earmarked to be “Goodman’s most sustainable development in Queensland” (Goodman, 2021).

Environmental features include:

  • 450kw solar system
  • LED lighting in office and warehouse
  • Rainwater reticulation
  • Fully integrated wastewater treatment plant
  • Solar hot water
  • Movement sensor lighting

Once complete, the CHEP facility will join other Spaceframe buildings such as Amart Furniture, Franklyn, Beaumont Tiles and Woolworths (Completion: Late 2021).

Construction is due for completion February 2022.
